This Spring, we are delighted to facilitate the inaugural activities for Groundstory with multiple community events planned from late March to early May 2018 in Toronto and Hamilton. Stay tuned for further updates as more activities are in the works in Toronto, Hamilton, Etobicoke, Scarborough, North York and elsewhere throughout 2018.
Whether you have a flexible schedule or only have an hour or two to spare, there are many ways to contribute to, and benefit from, the growing “groundswell” that is Groundstory. We hope you will be able to make it to one of the free Information Sessions, Advisory Convening, or Public Roundtables.
The goals for these events are to help:
- Rally the community together in a collective dialogue
- Establish a common vision for sustaining positive systemic change in our lifetimes, including reducing the adverse impacts of growing income inequality/polarization and socio-spatial displacement due to the rising costs of real estate and an uncertain economy
- Fill critical gaps in data and evidence
- Identify compelling ways to communicate the urgency of the issue and its potential solutions across diverse communities.
If you are ready to join the Groundstory Community and haven’t already done so, please take a few minutes to fill out our Community Survey. If you are unsure about how you may participate but are interested in learning more or receiving future updates, please still fill out the survey so we know how best to reach you.
To foster collaboration, a private group has also been created for community dialogue and resource sharing. To gain access to this group (including emails and file sharing), please send a registration request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please feel free to share this information with anyone you think will find it of interest.
